 Dr. Oz’s Metabolism Boosting Tangerine Weight-Orade

On his popular TV show, Dr. Oz recommended this delicious and refreshing tea drink.  Made with green tea and tangerines, he says it will boost your metabolism by 12% by just drinking one cup!  The tangerines in it have a chemical composition that increases sensitivity to insulin and stimulates genes that help burn fat.  The added mint adds another level of deliciousness!  Thank you Dr. Oz for sharing one of your favorite stress reducers!

Directions:  To 8 oz. of brewed green tea ad a sliced tangerine and a handful of mint leaves.  Stir up and let sit overnight for your next day indulgence!


Ginger Tea – yeilds 2 quarts.

Yummy and only 82 calories!  This is a diabetic-friendly recipe, too.

Directions:  In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine boilingwater and 15 individual tea bags.  Cover and let stand for 10 minutes.  Discard tea bags.  Stir in 4 cups white grape juice, 1 to 2 tablespoons honey and 1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot.  Cover and cook onlow for 2-3 hours.  Strain and serve warm.
